The day is finally here! The Denver Broncos welcome the Pittsburgh Steelers to Sports Authority Field in the Divisional Round of the AFC playoffs.

The Denver Broncos enter Sunday’s game against the Steelers as the top seeded team in the AFC. The winner of today’s game will move on to face the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game. New England snapped the Kansas City Chiefs’ 11-game winning streak by a score of 27-20 on Saturday night.

The Steelers come into this game dealing with a litany of injuries to important players. Star wideout Antonio Brown failed the concussion protocol, and will not play on Sunday against the Denver Broncos. Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, who took a vicious hit last week from the Bengals’ Vontaze Burfict, is expected to start, but it is unclear how effective Roethlisberger will be after spraining the AC joint in his shoulder.

Pittsburgh has also ruled out starting running back DeAngelo Williams for their game against the Denver Broncos, meaning that the Steelers will face a top ranked Broncos defense without two key cogs in their offensive schemes and the quarterback probably playing with an injury. This presents Denver with a great opportunity to grab a victory on their home turf and make the AFC Championship game next week.

Though the match up looks easy because of the Steelers’ injuries, this is the NFL. On any given Sunday, no matter the circumstances or the perceived advantages on paper, anything can happen. Here are the keys to victory for the Denver Broncos on Sunday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
