Denver Broncos Need Big Games from Miller/Ware

The main reason why the Denver Broncos were able to rush three or four players on a regular basis against the New England Patriots is because Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware readily applied pressure to Tom Brady. Moreover, Von Miller set a playoff record by registering 2.5 sacks in the game, showing he was a force on defense.

Also, DeMarcus Ware added 0.5 sacks and two assists against the Patriots, but Ware regularly got to Tom Brady, resulting in knock downs and hurries. While the Panthers present a different scheme than the Patriots, the Denver Broncos need Von Miller and DeMarcus Ware to come up big in Super Bowl 50; although, the Denver Broncos might bring less pressure to focus on containing Cam Newton in the pocket.

In the Denver Broncos’ win against the Patriots, Von Miller became the first player ever to intercept and sack Tom Brady in the same game. Miller proved to be effective in pass protection during the game, and the Denver Broncos will need more of that level of production in Super Bowl 50. Look for Miller and Ware to be vital pieces for the Denver Broncos’ success in the Super Bowl.
