The Denver Outlaws will host a Pokémon Go Day at Mile High Stadium on July 30, before the team faces off against the Charlotte Hounds.

Fans of the local Major League Lacrosse team will have a chance to tour Mile High and hunt Pokémon — err Pokémen?  I honestly don’t know the correct term.

Each fan who purchases a ticket will be provided access to one of two 45-minute long VIP tours of the stadium, starting at either 9:30am or 10:15am, plus a discounted ticket to the afternoon’s Denver Outlaws game and access to something called a Pokémon Go gym.

The tours will begin in the southwest tunnel and include stops in the home media room, West Club Level, press box and the field track.

“Lure modules will be placed at the various stops throughout the duration of the two sessions,” the Outlaws press release notes.

The cost for the VIP tour, which includes a game ticket, is only $20.25.  Heck, that’s a bargain — why not just buy one and take an enjoyable walk around the stadium?

A separate, discounted game ticket to Pokémon Go Night that does not include the stadium tour costs $12.25.  It will allow ticket holders access to the main concourse from sections 131-117 and the opportunity to catch as many Pokémon as possible throughout the duration of the game.

A “gym leader competition” will begin when the gates open and will last until there are approximately five minutes left in the third quarter.  At that point, an Outlaws employee will determine the leader.

The winner of the contest will be announced over the stadium P.A. system during the fourth quarter and that person also wins a $50 Visa gift card.

Gym leader players are required to submit a screenshot of themselves catching a Pokémon at the stadium and post on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #PokeLax in order to be eligible to win the prize.
