LAST SEASON: 7-9 (third in AFC West)

COACH: Jack Del Rio (2nd season with the team)

SPORTS ILLUSTRATED PRESEASON POWER RANKING:  11th

“Yes, this roster is stockpiled with talent, but much of it is young—even younger with future Hall of Famer Charles Woodson walking away,” notes Burke.  “Jack Del Rio’s team plays three of its first four away from home, so the legitimacy of Oakland as a playoff contender will be revealed early.”

BOTTOM LINE: SI and Vegas agree — both put the Raiders in 11th place.
