The Denver Broncos are getting ready for their first road game of the season. Their opponent will be the Cincinnati Bengals, who are a tough team to beat when they are at home. In order to help the Broncos win this one, they need the help of five players having outstanding games, but which five?

Much like the Denver Broncos, the Cincinnati Bengals have a pretty well-rounded team who plays even tougher when in front of their home crowd. They are a force on defense and can have an explosive offense, though they are inconsistent there. They can score in a flash and have play-makers all over on the team.

The Broncos will have to protect the ball on offense and not give the Bengals more chances to score. They have one of the best receivers in the NFL with A.J. Green, who is dynamic and can destroy opposing defense. Opposite Green is rookie Tyler Boyd who has looked really good in two games, one of which he saw limited action.

Their running backs can also be a problem, with Jeremy Hill and Giovani Bernard. So far this year, Hill hasn’t been the player he showed he can be the last two years. However, he is a tough downhill runner that can beat up on the smaller Broncos linebackers. Bernard is the real threat, especially if he gets into open space due to his speed and ability to breakaway.

As for their quarterback, Andy Dalton, the offense goes with how he goes and saying he is inconsistent is a major understatement. Dalton can go from having an outstanding game to having one of the worst games of his career, but his inconsistency is even throw to throw. When watching the Bengals, it is clear that Dalton doesn’t always trust his arm when going deep and he becomes gun-shy. That works into Denver’s favor.

If Dalton goes deep, all Denver has to do is intercept one pass. After that Dalton will hesitate throwing deep and likely take a shorter, easier throw. That doesn’t mean Denver can lighten up on their coverage deep, but they can make the field shorter.

There are many things the Broncos can do to beat the Bengals, and most of them come from one player, maybe two. To help deal with the above, and deal with the Bengals defense these following players need to have outstanding games. If they do, Denver likely comes away with the victory.
