Broncos: Everything Running Game and Offensive line
Broncos Rookie
The final option is the rookie. Connor McGovern. If you want a perfect zone scheme guard, McGovern is that guy. Now he had a lot to work on when he was drafted, but he has what it takes to be successful in the scheme.
McGovern has experience all over from college play but is best suited as a guard on the right side. So if they just want to insert him at left guard, there will need to be some more grooming and growing beforehand. Inserting him at right guard would move Michael Schofield to left guard.
The big things with rookies is you’re never sure just what you’re going to get from them, but it is hard to be worse than Garcia has been. If Garcia keep splaying poorly, they may need to give the rookie a shot. He was tremendous in the preseason, but that was against second and third string players at best.

There are two very simple facts. One, the Broncos have to improve their run game. That is a must for them, and the coaches know it is. Two, they have plenty of options to make changes on their offensive line and it is getting to a point where a change needs to be made. Making a change now gives them time to grow as a unit, and individuals. Need to do it before it is too late, and that point isn’t very far away.
