The Denver Broncos lost their first game of the season to the Atlanta Falcons and their high-flying offense. They are on a short week to turn things around as they prepare to take on the San Diego Chargers in a divisional Thursday night football match-up. As for their play in the loss, just how well did the players grade?

It was a pitiful performance by the Denver Broncos offense, while the defense did their best, but had their hands full. The offense struggled to move the ball, mainly due to the poor play of the offensive line. Every pass play it looked like they were allowing pressure, while getting pushed back every run play.

Of course it didn’t help that they were starting a rookie quarterback who was clearly unprepared. The lack of run game was devastating as it took no pressure off of the young quarterback. Only group who played well were the receivers and tight ends, for the most part, but they just weren’t used.

Editors note: Due to the short week, the grades for every group will be grouped together in one article. This is the only week this will be the case. Also, the look of the grades will be very different for this week.
