Torrey Craig was the obvious choice as rookie of the year for the Nuggets.

It’s hard to quantify Craig’s contribution.  The numbers aren’t that impressive (4.2ppg, 3.3rpg, .6apg).  His defensive proficiency doesn’t translate, statistically.  To look at him just on data, you’d think Torrey had little impact on the Nuggets.

I consider Craig sort of a baby Gary Harris.  Efficient, generally knocks down wide open shots when he’s found.  Not a standout offensively but not a liability.  He’s an above average offensive rebounder though his stat of 1.1 offensive rebounds per game doesn’t support that.

Torrey is a glue guy.  One of the guys you put around your core because he compliments them so well.  You won’t be able to make the numbers equal TC’s value to the franchise this season but many believe that value high enough to warrant a spot on the roster next year.

Depending on Barton and Chandler’s status, that could be more likely than not.
