Denver Nuggets Post-Season Grades and Awards ’17-’18

Nikola Jokic is the Nuggets’ MVP for 2017-18.

As with most of these awards there wasn’t much competition.  Nikola is clearly the most valuable player on the Nuggets.  He is one of the most valuable players in the NBA.  What he has done by age 23 is historic.  Nikola’s Player Efficiency Rating for ’17-’18 is good for 14th in the NBA.  He has a turnover ratio is better than James Harden, his true shooting percentage eclipses Giannis, Russ and Damian Lillard. His rebound rating is better than Giannis and Anthony Davis.

Jokic is in lofty company, statistically. He’s doing things faster than anyone has ever done them. Offseason strength training and the affirmation of his role with the Franchise will pay dividends for next year’s Nuggets.

Nikola is ready to graduate to legitimate all-star and MVP candidate.

He’s quickly becoming the biggest deal the Nuggets have had and they drafted him 41st in 2014.  I guess Donovan Mitchell wasn’t available.
