Colorado Avalanche Captain Gabe Landeskog is having a great series against Nashville.

Nathan MacKinnon is so exciting.  Andrew Hammond came in (back) and stood on his head. This crazy, resilient Colorado Avalanche team!

There are a ton of storylines to this playoff series.  All of them are great and deserved. One that’s being overshadowed is Gabe Landeskog’s performance.

In the playoffs he’s tied for second in goals with four. He’s tied for fourth in points with seven.  He leads the Avalanche with two power-play goals and a 25% shooting percentage.

Statistically Landeskog is a beast.  As a leader, he is better.  Landeskog has a calm focus that reminds of Bednar.  He also has a physical-without-dirty style that is important to the top line.  The physical focus on Landeskog allows MacKinnon and Rantanen to roam.  It’s a well-balanced line, credit to Bednar for adding Rantanen.

Here’s hoping that Bednar, Landeskog and the Colorado Avalanche can give us at least one more “won-or-go-home” game before we settle into MLB for the summer!
