The NFL Preseason is clearly a money grab by owners.  We know this and yet as Denver Broncos fans we participate anyway.

There is just something about the gap between the end of the NHL and NBA seasons and the beginning of NFL football.  The NBA Finals wrap up on June 18th.  The Stanley Cup Finals will end mid-June as well.  From there until the September 9th NFL regular season opening game is 2.5 months.  Every year it feels like 2.5 years.  So, when meaningless contests with players we don’t know pop up in early August well, we just can’t help ourselves.

The Denver Broncos have Minnesota and Chicago at home to open.  They travel to Washington and then Arizona to complete the preseason.

Intrigue with Case Keenum visiting his former team?  Trevor Siemian in purple?  Oh, how about John Fox returning to Denver with the Bears? Something, something Washington.  Arizona’s team is named the Cardinals.

There’s nothing to be said about the preseason.  If there is, Denver radio station 104.3 the Fan will say it all.  Repeatedly.  You will not find better coverage of the minutiae of the Broncos QB position.  All day.  Every day.

Preseason prediction: 2-2, Ron Zappolo reveals himself as undead.
