Rockies to Rally for Mets Match-Up
The Colorado Rockies are gearing up for a weekend series in Flushing New York at Citi Field versus the Mets at 7:10 PM EDT.
Rocks are looking to redeem an opening day flop against the Mets while both clubs are neck-and-neck with similar records (Rockies 17-15, Mets 17-12). We shake, shake, shake, magic 8-ball what will the future hold for tonights ball game? Will the Rockies be able to redeem past failures?
Shake, shake, shake…Rockies are planning to pitch German Marquez (1-3, 5.14 ERA, 27 K) whom has yet to pitch at Citi Field but has been strong as of late with his last stand against the Marlins ending with one earned run in six innings. We hope he will be as supported as Tyler Anderson was with the Cubs on Wednesday. Shake, shake, shake, and the 8 ball says…..Concentrate and ask again.
Shake, shake, shake….magic 8-ball says…..Zack Wheeler (2-1, 4.09 ERA, 21 K) will be the Mets hurler choice for this Friday match-up. He just had his first win since his season debut against the Marlins, handing it to the Padres with 9 K’s and allowing only 2 runs. With only one career start against Colorado we don’t have a lot of history to go on but Rockies bats have been hot! Shake, shake, shake, and ……..better not tell you now!
Shake, shake, shake, don’t let us down now magic 8 ball….Nolan Arenado socked the Cubs for 2 homers last game and he wasn’t the only one. The Rockies got in 4 just in the last game of the series. Iannetta and Story joined in the homerun fun on Wednesday as well. Blackmon is one of the few Rockies with experience with Wheeler and has a great average of .667 so all signs are pointing to a great day for Rockies’ hits. Another shake of the magic 8-ball and it is certain. As long as we can count on a magic 8-ball then the Rockies are as good as gold for tonight, place your bets!
