The Brewers and Rockies would meet at Coors Field the next night and it would not be much more palpable.

It’s unclear what the offense issue could be, one day there were bats and the next there were none.  Pitching seems to remain the same the offense is the variable.  Relying on home runs cannot be effective, old fashioned sacrifices, bunts, and moving the runners will prevail.

The resulting game, a 5-2 loss was another soul crushing watch with more stagnant offense.  Jhoulys Chacin (RHP #45 3-1 4.00 ERA 29 K) and his notable slider made the Brewer start, hot off four previous wins (no pressure).  Rockies started German Marquez (RHP #48 2-4 5.35 ERA 38 K) coming off a mundane win over the Mets.   His loss to the Marlins is cited as not being supported with offense.  Marquez only hung in there for 4.2 innings on Thursday, however, requiring four relief pitchers to finish the game.  It was not his night.  There are losses and there are ugly losses.
