Nuggets Fans Crushed by 14th Pick

Jokic-Murray-Harris is better than Mitchell-Gobert-Ingles.  It’s better than Towns-Wiggins-Butler and Lillard-McCollum-Nurkic.

As daunting a task as it is for the front office this summer, the path is adding players that fit the Nuggets and Jokic.  Part of that is development of players already in-house.  If Lyles, Juancho, Beasley, Craig and Morris can produce three solid rotation players from their ranks, the Nuggets are golden and will be ready to challenge as soon as the 2019-20 season for the crown.

If the Nuggets continue to work under the auspices that there’s a fundamental issue with the team and that needs to be answered via higher draft choices or marquee free-agent gambles then they will be picking 14th for the foreseeable future.  That, by itself will perpetuate the self-loathing fan meme that’s all-too-popular in Denver these days.
