Enter Jordan Lyles

German Marquez was less than stellar in his last start.

No one could have seen this coming:

Enter Jordan Lyles.  Tuesday was the second game of a two game set for the Rockies and the Padres meet-up.  The Colorado Rockies are going with a strong choice to start German Marquez (RHP #48 2-5 5.15 ERA 43 K) coming into Petco Park with an ERA of 1.96 and 24 K.  The Padres starter was Jordan Lyles (RHP #27 1-1 2.53 ERA 32 K) whose curveball is living up to the legend apparently shutting out the Colorado Rockies.  He allowed a solo hit by Trevor Story in seven innings with ten strikeouts.  Marquez did not fare as well and only pitched five.  He allowed two runs and six hits.  Final score was 0-4 Padres.
