It’s true, winning all four games was my idea on Thursday.  But no one listens to me.

Things were looking positive when the series began on Thursday.

The Colorado Rockies were being hosted by the San Francisco Giants in beautiful AT&T Park.  Rox started a solid choice in Chad Bettis who really came through with a six innings that did allow three runs and five hits but it was enough for that day.

Jeff Samardzija started for the Giants and was a longevity concern coming off the DL recently but he put in 6.2 innings himself.  He mirrored Bettis’ stats with three runs and five hits given up but the Giants would earn the loss tonight.

The two runs that would sink the ship were given up by reliever Pierce Johnson, unfortunately earning him the loss as well.  Final score for Thursday would end up 5-3 for the Colorado Rockies.
