First Inning Control

The Rockies are looking to open the series with German Marquez (RHP #48 2-5 5.15 ERA 43 K) who can be a great, efficient choice or a kooky get you in trouble choice a la his first inning against the Padres last.

We have more evidence to believe he will be the more solid choice tonight.

He has a few historic threats posed tonight in Chris Taylor, Chase Utley, Justin Turner, and Austin Barnes.

Marquez is his own biggest threat when considering is ERA is 13.5 in the first inning.  If he can focus and conquer that, the idea should be an effective smooth sailing from there.
