LeMahieu makes good as soon as he is activated from the DL, again.

Making his debut in 2011 with the Cubs, DJ has spent every other season with the Rockies organization.

I can say that he is definitely a presence that is missed when it is gone.

Having been placed on the DL off-and-on a few times this season has shown what an impact on the game LeMahieu really makes.  He is such a contributor it is felt in every game he makes or misses.  There are numbers that show it like all the other players and there are times when it’s a feeling and is perceptible by the fans.

This is one of those times.

He has an impressive list of awards.  His debut year with the Cubs earned DJ the organizational all-star award before making his move to the Mile High.  He wouldn’t start earning awards here until 2013.  Then, LeMahieu won the Wilson Team Defensive Player of the Year Award.  2014 would earn him the Rawlings NL Gold Glove and 2015 would be a double whammy.  He would earn his first trip to the NL All-Star game and will earn the Rockies Heart and Hustle Award during this season.

The next season would not merit awards but his .348 batting average would be deemed first in the NL which many would still find impressive, as well as his .416 on-base percentage which was  second in the NL.  Maybe not award worthy but surely shows difference making abilities.

2017 would be another All-Star season for LeMahieu.  He would also win another Rawlings NL Gold Glove aaaannnnddddddd another Wilson Defensive Player of the Year. Yup.  All in the 2017 season.  He is often the name you hear when the announcer is shouting about how the Rockies are taking over the game, winning now, etc.

You know when DJ is off the DL because you hear about him winning the game.

Nice to have you back, DJ! Check his stats here.  May you be blessed with good health!
