2. Stanford Cardinal

As long as Bryce Love is in the backfield, the Cardinal will have a chance in 2018.

QB KJ Costello missed all of Spring practices with a hip injury, but he should be ready to go by the start of the season. With Costello and Love back, this offense should not have issues putting up points.

The defense has typically been the strong suite of David Shaw’s Stanford teams’ but with stars like Harrison Phillips and Justin Reid now in the NFL, the Cardinal defense could be exposed in 2018.

Shaw has dealt with players leaving, injuries and more during his time with the University–so if there is one coach built to withstand this and still put together a winning ball club, it’s David Shaw.
