Acosta and Nicholson Come Up Big in Colorado Rapids Win Over Galaxy

Forward Sam Nicholson was firing bullets at the Galaxy’s goal all night.
On the offensive end the Colorado Rapids were extremely aggressive and this was initiated by Sam Nicholson. He had 6 shots on the night and 3 of those were on goal. His hyper aggressive performance would be rewarded with the game winner just before stoppage time kicked in.
Nicholson could easily have had more than one goal on the night if not for bad luck such as his shot that was deflected into the underside of the crossbar and back out. Nicholson’s aggression in this match was a key contributor to why the Rapids won.
