Acosta and Nicholson Come Up Big in Colorado Rapids Win Over Galaxy

Aggressive play is what is going to be what is needed down the stretch of the back half of the season. 

This game against the Galaxy shows what could be for the Colorado Rapids if they keep it up.  Next up is the San Jose Earthquakes in what should be an easy win if the Rapids stay aggressive.  Then another matchup with the Galaxy, but this time it will be on the Galaxy’s home pitch.

This back half of the season should be an interesting one for the Rapids regardless of whether they make the playoffs or not.  We will see if their newly found competitive nature can push them through to being in contention for one of the playoff spots when the end of the season comes around.  If not hopefully a strong finish will push them to a contending team next season.  Regardless, I was wrong when I wrote about this game last week.  I should have been in the stands.
