Tomorrow the Colorado Rapids take on the San Jose Earthquakes at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Denver in a battle between the 2 lowest ranked teams in the MLS’ Western Conference.

Both teams have identical records over their last six games with 3 loses, 2 draws, and a win.  The Rapids defeated the L.A. Galaxy in their last match and the Earthquakes defeated FC Dallas.  Both teams coming off wins in should give both teams confidence to make this match an exciting one.

Though both teams are ranked at the bottom of the Western Conference this match could be an important one if either team wants to make a late season push to make the playoffs.

The Colorado Rapids look to have the edge on paper and with the home pitch advantage and the fans backing them this should be a second straight win for the Rapids.

Though the Rapids should be able to pull out a win here, this is not the time to get over confident and relax.  The  Rapids will need to play like they played last week against the L.A. Galaxy to secure the win.  With an aggressive game plan and good execution the Rapids win streak should extend to two.

What should we expect from the Rapids to win?  Here are 5 keys to winning this match for the Colorado Rapids.
