Aggressive offense is another key to a Colorado Rapids win against the San Jose Earthquakes.
The Rapids desperately needed offense and they have begun to see that the addition of Kellyn Acosta to the roster though admittedly a two games sample size is small. The Rapids need to keep attacking especially in this match against a team that has given up 41 goals so far this season. An aggressive offense could and should lead to multiple goals for the Rapids against this Earthquakes defense.
The 4-4-2 diamond formation that the Rapids have been running has seemed to sparked something of a transformation over the past 2 games offensively for the Rapids. This may be the addition of Acosta as well, but whatever it is seems to be working. They need to keep it up. Time will tell if they continue with this formation but I’d expect them to continue with what is working for now.
