Colorado Rapids vs. San Jose Earthquakes: Keys To The Win

Someone else needs to steep up and be aggressive on the offensive end.

Acosta’s play over the past 2 matches has been great, but the hot streaks may not last forever. The entire Colorado Rapids team needs to step up and play aggressive and there needs to be a new supporting cast every night.  If Acosta’s hot foot cools down then there needs to be another person in the waiting to take that spot.  

This mystery player could be anyone.  In the match against the Galaxy it was Sam Nicholson.  Maybe this match it will be Enzo Martinez.  Maybe it will be Jack Price.  All these players have the ability to be great on any given night.  Regardless of who it is there needs to be another player heating up all the time.  There needs to be another player taking shots at goal to put the pressure on the opposing team.

The Colorado Rapids won a huge game against the L.A. Galaxy last week.  Tomorrow’s match should be easier, but this match may be an even more important must win to keep the momentum going.  We will see tomorrow what Colorado Rapids team shows up tomorrow.
