Bismark Boateng Game Winner Propels Colorado Rapids Past San Jose
By Ryan Palmer
Kellyn Acosta continues his strong play.
Unfortunately Kellyn Acosta couldn’t put another ball in the net for a third goal in three games, but he was still aggressive. Acosta came away with two shots on goal and an assist on a goal scored by Tommy Smith. Acosta’s cross to Smith was a textbook soccer move and the Rapids were rewarded.
There won’t be goals every game for Acosta, but he has been an instant difference maker for the Rapids since he was acquired and his continued aggressive play will be a factor regardless if he is the one who puts the ball in the net. I called for him to have another strong performance and I’m calling this a success.
Kellyn Acosta may be my new favorite Rapids player if he continues what he is doing down the stretch of the season. I’m going to call for strong play for him for more matches to come.
