November 5, 2018 – Denver Nuggets vs Boston Celtics

My desires to see this game comes from mostly reasons based in nostalgia and selfishness.  My first reasons for wanting to be in the Pepsi Center for this game is because this is my birthday.  I can’t think of a better place to spend my birthday than sitting in the Pepsi Center wearing my throwback Alex English jersey with a beer and hotdog in hand.

The second reason for watching this Denver Nuggets game is because the Boston Celtics played a big part in my house growing up.  I have an aunt that is obsessed with the Celtics and I had to hear how great they were every game they played while growing up.  If they came to Portland where I grew up the tension in the house was felt by all.  This game for me brings back memories of hard fought arguments about who the greatest players and teams of all times were. It is a game that lets me reminisce about the roots of my love for basketball.

This game will be a fun game to watch without the memories and birthday fun.  The Celtics are a great team who should be posed to take over the Eastern Conference as the team to beat with LeBron heading to the West.  Kyrie Irving should be back in action and the team should be in game shape by this point and we will get to see Isaiah Thomas meet his old team again on the Nuggets home court.  It will be fun to see a really good team that we don’t get to see very often in Denver.
