With the 253rd pick of the 2017 draft, The Denver Broncos selected…Chad Kelly. In addition to the normal fanfare that the NFL network affords each draft choice, there was a short presentation for the 253rd pick by Irrelevant Week.

Irrelevant Week is a charitable organization that provides festivities associated with the last person chosen in the NFL draft. The “winner” of the honor is invited to a week of fun in Southern California, branded Mr. Irrelevant, and presented with the Lowsman Trophy.

The Lowsman Trophy looks a little like a skinny version of The Heisman Trophy, except that the depicted football player is fumbling their football.

Fun? Maybe.

Humbling? Certainly.
