The Chargers have a habit of winning in Denver.

While Denver holds a 64-51 all time edge but from 2006 to 2014, the Chargers won six times in Denver.  The Broncos have won five straight at home but this looks to be an improved Chargers squad.

Phillip Rivers is a fixture at QB for Los Angeles but he’s also fairly predictable and will react poorly to pressure from the Broncos.  It’s almost hard to accept that the Chargers, in their first year in LA, finished ahead of the Broncos in the standings last year.  They did, though and that’s a trend many predict to continue with a large part of the NFL media considering the Chargers either first or second in the AFC West.

Defensively, the Chargers version of Von Miller and Bradley Chubb is the menacing tandem of Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram.  Denver got a large dose of the pair a year ago and they are fearsome.  Los Angeles doesn’t have quite the secondary strength, so Bill Musgrave should be able to counter the big rush. Until I see it, I’m not buying the Chargers as division leaders.
