J-E-T-S Miss! The! Playoffs!

It looks like Sam Darnold will be the man under center for the Jets this season and that’s exciting.  If anyone has been cursed by the QB Gods as much as Cleveland, it’s the Jets.

What we know and what we’ve always known is the Jets have a top-10 defense, again.  There are teams that you always know are going to have a proficient D and the Jets are one of them.  Seems like the ghost of Sexy Rexy endures in the halls of Jets HQ.

Offensively, though, they were 28th overall, finishing slightly better in the running game than passing.  Again, coupled with the upgrade to Denver’s defense, the day could be disastrous for the young Darnold or possibly Teddy Bridgewater, if Darnold’s leash is short.

There will be opportunity for the Denver offense, the Jets defense is good but it is young.  New York has the sixth youngest roster in the league.  A veteran like Case Keenum should be able to find a way to exploit an aggressive, young Jets defense.
