Denver Broncos: Previewing the Baltimore Ravens
The Broncos have the fourth-ranked NFL offense.
They are second in rushing offense. I suppose that comes as a surprise, the Broncos seemed utterly inept, offensively against the Raiders in the first half of last-week’s game. Their rushing statistics seem to come more from bursts rather than a sustained rushing attack.
It’s also week two and there’s a lot of football to be played. I’m not sure the Broncos will end the season as a top-4 offense.

As mentioned here we do want and expect to see improvement on a couple of fronts. Case Keenum needs to improve his accuracy and eliminate turnovers. Royce Freeman needs to establish himself as the every-down back. Demaryius Thomas simply needs to catch the ball.
The Ravens have perennial competitor Joe Flacco, whose stats for the opening two games are nearly identical to Case Keenum. Baltimore’s leading rusher, Alex Collins is listed on the injury report but was practicing on Thursday and should be ready for game time. Flacco has spread the passing wealth readily, using Michael Crabtree, Willie Snead and John Brown equally in the passing attack.
In this matchup, Denver has a slightly better running attack while the Ravens do somewhat better through the air. Both offensive strengths play into the heart of the opposing defenses, scoring may be at a premium on Sunday.
As they are at home, we’re giving a slight lean to the Ravens, offensively.
