The Three Keys to a Colorado Rockies Series Win
The Rockies bullpen needs to turn it on now.
The Scott Oberg, Adam Ottavino, Wade Davis, Seunghwan Oh relief combo that the Rockies have been using currently has been strong.
Colorado Rockies
Unfortunately, they are going to need to be nearly perfect to overcome the Brewers relief squad. Jeremy Jeffress has been steadfast all year with his stellar 1.29 ERA. Josh Hader, Corey Knebel, Corbin Burnes, and Brandon Woodruff round-out the Brewers relief pitchers that are going to have to continue their outstanding performances to make-up for what they lack in starters.
The Brew Crew statistically has a stronger bullpen but our bullpen doesn’t need to beat theirs straight up, providing the right support to the starters will be the key to the game and then the series.
The Brewers are an explosive offensive team so slow and steady will win the race this time. The Rockies have been stretching the starters with generally seven innings being logged before a reliever comes in. So far so good until a starter is not able to be reliable that day, as two Rockies starters, Tyler Anderson and Jon Gray have had consistency issues recently.
Kyle Freeland and German Marquez on the other hand have been breaking records, so the good with the bad in this case. The Colorado rotation is one of the strongest in baseball right now.
