The Three Keys to a Colorado Rockies Series Win
What can you do against the guy who will most likely be the NL MVP?
So Christian Yelich is poised to win the National League Most Valuable Player award. He plays right field and has been on fire offensively. He is a threat to any team with his 36 home runs and 22 stolen bases.
He will need to be handled carefully by pitchers, although just walking him is not even a solution with the stolen base threat. The advantage goes to the Brewers here not because Carlos Gonzalez or Gerardo Parra are substandard but because Yelich is that good.
Yeah, that good.
That’s what one hears anyway. Maybe something that has snuck past people who may not be paying close attention to the Rockies is that Gonzalez and Parra have both been contributing offensively and are playing above their stats. Don’t count either out with this challenge.
We do have one more advantage too as our own MVP candidate Nolan Arenado will be here to contribute to the Rockies offense. Yelich and Arenado will be the first batting and home run champions to ever meet-up in the NL post-season.
It should be quite a show.
