Denver Broncos: 3 Things We Saw in the LA Rams Loss

The Denver Broncos lost their fourth consecutive game on Sunday at chilly Mile High Stadium.  The performance was much-improved but the result was the same.

Let’s get something out of the way; The Los Angeles Rams are a very good football team and Todd Gurley is as real as it gets.

Had Denver beaten the New York Jets and come into this game 3-2, the 23-20 loss would seem about right.  About what you’d expect from two teams on slightly different trajectories.

Unfortunately, Denver lost to the Jets, badly and the perception surrounding this team is much darker, the loss to the Rams magnified by what had come before.

At this point in the season, point at the team that beats the Rams.  Home, road, hot or cold, at least at the moment, Los Angeles is playing better than anyone.  Under normal circumstances, the Broncos could take a lot of positives from the tightly contested game.

Weather certainly had its role with temperatures in the low-20’s and on-and-off snow flurries making Mile High as inhospitable as possible.  That and an improved Denver performance still weren’t enough against the hot Rams.
