Quietly becoming the best shooting guard in the NBA is the word but we know it has not been quiet.

G, G Money, Gary Harris, whatever name you use for the starting shooting guard for the Denver Nuggets, you are talking about him.  There’s a case to be made that young Harris is quietly becoming the best in the league.  Fans and those paying attention already know he’s the best and it wasn’t nor will it be quiet.

The Nuggets are overlooked, it is just not a franchise that has ever been in the NBA spotlight.  It is not a team that generally gets national attention, the analysts on all the shows speak almost exclusively about a certain set of teams.  Gary Harris is part of the new movement for the Nuggets that has not only captured attention but admiration.  Operation Dark Horse engaged.

Young Gary Harris came to the NBA via Michigan State, during the 2013/2014 season he led the Spartans to the Elite Eight while earning Big Ten first team honors and a spot on the All Big Ten defensive team.

Harris was drafted in 2014 in the first round (19th overall pick) by the Chicago Bulls and was traded to the Nuggets on draft night.  July 31, 2014 was the official sign date for the Nuggets.  While Harris has spent only four years as a professional, he is already having such a season that he is being considered among the best SG in the league, if not the best.

It’s somewhat easy to make such proclamations early in the season and against less than stellar competition perhaps.  However, this analysis is not based simply on this season.  Harris has been on this trajectory since his start as a Nugget.

Indiana roots and a WNBA star as a mother makes the perfect storm to create the movement that is now Gary Harris.  As part of the Nuggets core including Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic, many speculate the Nuggets will be a force in the West this season.
