Denver Nuggets VS. Cleveland Cavaliers; Gametime, TV, Radio
Has Cleveland officially changed the name of their team to the Bad News Cavs yet?
The Denver Nuggets have started this season with bang and some high hopes. Going into this Cleveland game the 6-1 Nuggets are playing back-to-back from their win over the Bulls on Wednesday but it shouldn’t be too challenging. The 1-6 Cavs (yes, 1-6) have had setback after setback already in this season.
Coach Tyronn Lue was just replaced with Larry Drew and Kevin Love has been out with an injury for 3 games already and they aren’t expecting him back for another two to three weeks at least. The one win the club can speak of was against the Atlanta Hawks and required new career highs to achieve. That just isn’t something that is sustainable.
Of course, the Cavs have been left with a void to fill post LeBron James. I don’t know if this rocky season start is surprising or not. Without a ridiculous game from Rodney Hood against Atlanta who knows if they pull it off. The Cavs do not have the ability to stop shooting and scoring so without crazy shooting themselves, they don’t have a prayer against most much less the super hot Nuggets.
The Nuggets should have a little bit of momentum coming into this game with the über exciting put-back by Paul Millsap to win the game on Halloween. Maybe that’s when back-to-back games pay off. The Nugs do have a tough schedule but thankfully the youthful exuberance should compensate for that. They are considered a threat in the West and they are showing everyone why. Some of these tough wins are exactly what the Nuggets couldn’t pull off last year. They lost to teams the shouldn’t have lost to, too many times. This is why this season and this squad is different.
