Denver Nuggets vs. Utah Jazz: Gametime
The Denver Nuggets are coming back home after a successful road jaunt to host the formidable Utah Jazz.
The Denver Nuggets are bringing it back to the Pepsi Center to continue the tear that has started this season. This Nuggets squad is exceeding expectations thus far and are off to such an exciting start, it’s difficult not to get swept up in the fever.
Nuggets don’t have a very exciting history kind of always being a middle of the road organization. With no championship to speak of, it’s a Denver club that needs to prove itself.
There’s a ton of chatter about the Utah Jazz this season who are 4-4. I guess if they were as good as speculated that would look better, like 7-1 perhaps.
I see the Nuggets getting glossed over for validation for the bigger dynasty franchises like the Lakers, Celtics, Warriors. It’s more understandable from teams who have earned that with championships and by dominating basketball for years sometimes. I don’t understand why the Nuggets would be overlooked because of the Jazz.
The Nuggets have momentum and this could be an opportunity to make a statement against a long time rival. Something deemed more necessary after narrowly missing the playoffs last year.
The banged up Jazz may not have it as bad as the Cavs but they have been having some bumps in the road. Donovan Mitchell has missed some time recently due to a hamstring issue but is probable against the Nuggets. Alec Burks on the other hand is doubtful, still out due to a hand sprain.
If the Jazz are already having to look to the bench to save the day, boy are they in trouble. Mitchell has been struggling and the Utah bench doesn’t compare to the Denver second team. Juancho Hernangomez almost single-handedly handled the Cavs as an example of the depth Denver has to offer. Just wait until Isiah Thomas is here.
