There’s been a ton of focus on the problems the Denver Broncos are faced with at the halfway point of this NFL season.

There’s some good things, too, things we don’t always get to talk about because so much energy is spent with the bad things.

Emmanuel Sanders, despite a couple of unfortunate penalties has been a delight this season for the Broncos.  With Demaryius Thomas in Houston, Sanders is the sage, old man of the receiving corps.  Let’s hope he can impart some of his personality onto the next wave, his demeanor and joy have been fun to watch.

Case Keenum isn’t afraid to let it go deep.  Third down, first down, whatever, there’s always that chance that he’s going for it all.  We had some of that with Peyton Manning but it really reminds of John Elway. To an extent.  Keenum is gutsy like John, a fearless runner.  He certainly doesn’t have Elway’s QB gifts.

Denver has played the LA Rams and KC Chiefs (twice) very tough, really the Jets and Ravens games are the head-scratchers.

If you overlook penalties, this Broncos squad has been pretty entertaining, even on the defensive end with Von Miller and Bradley Chubb alternating their brand of havoc. Sanders touchdown pass was fantastic.  Adam Jones has been fun, Bradley Roby‘s turnaround is a welcome sight.

Let’s look at some of the good in more detail:
