Von and Brad are pass rushing machines.

How awesome then that their contribution to Sunday’s win was more than just getting at Philip Rivers.  They did, each man notching a sack for the game but more importantly, they made impacts in so many other ways.

Watching Von Miller sniff out the screen and slide into perfect position to pick off Rivers was spectacular.  Miller has such an incredible awareness on the field, usually we only see it in his pursuit of opposing quarterbacks. On Sunday, Von did a little of everything.

Bradley Chubb, on the other side, had a sack of his own and an outstanding three tackles for loss.  When Melvin Gordon started to look like he would be impossible to tackle, it was Chubb that ripped Gordon to the ground, saving a first down and announcing his presence with authority.

It hasn’t taken long for that to become the expectation for the Broncos first-round drat choice and he is living up to his lofty draft position and his reputation fully at this point in the season.

Miller is so good that when he’s just good, it looks bad.

The tandem came through for Denver on Sunday and while the game didn’t really move the Broncos any closer to where fans want them to be, it sure was nice to watch them win. On the road, in the division against the almost cartoon-villainesque Rivers.

There are still far more questions than answers in Dove Valley but the Broncos have earned a moratorium for this week.  Though not perfect, the game was still that good.
