Denver Nuggets Looking to Extend Win Streak Face Charlotte Hornets
The Denver Nuggets are hoping to top Charlotte making this a very successful road trip, winning the first three games and maintaining a 7 game win streak.
Game four of the five game road trip for the Denver Nuggets will be in Charlotte to play the Hornets. The Hornets are struggling this year and their 11-13 record reflects this. To add to the issues, the Charlotte squad is looking to fill the place left by the injured Marvin Williams.
Michael Kidd-Gilchrist has been the sub so far but Miles Bridges and Frank Kaminsky are options. The Nugs being without Gary Harris have faced similar quarks. Torrey Craig has stepped up and Juan Hernangomez has been making starts too. Hernangomez will meet his brother Willy Hernangomez since he made the change from the Knicks.
The last three games have been wins but hard won. Defeating the Magic took overtime. The Nuggets having to prove something continues, not just by winning. They have to win games that they wouldn’t have won last year. The Nuggets won the games they should have won but they lost games that should have been easy. While you can’t rule out teams in the NBA and not take them seriously it should be a game a championship team won’t struggle with.
That being said the next game will be back-to-back against the Atlanta Hawks. If there’s a gimme game this year it’s against the unfortunate Hawks. This should be a good chance for the Nuggets to build up some good wins in a relatively easier part of their schedule.
The Mile-Hi crew will come home on Monday, December 10 and face the super tough Memphis Grizzlies. The Nugs will need to rest up to take on the Grizzlies, they really need to prove something (again or still?).
