Denver Nuggets: A Glance at 3 Weeks to Close December
The last week of this year is odd in terms of basketball for the Nuggets.
This week has three games scheduled for the Nuggets. The Spurs twice, once in Texas and then in Colorado. Then the Nugs leave home again to close out the year.
Wednesday, December 26 San Antonio Spurs host the Nuggets. The Spurs are less than impressive this year. It is for sure a rebuild year for them and there has been a ton of change in the club.
Friday, December 28 Nuggets host the Spurs. See above but now the Nuggets are at home. They play well at home, they play well on the road. Go figure.
Saturday, December 29 Phoenix Suns host the Nuggets. The Suns are currently 4-21, bless their hearts. Devon Booker is a major talent but there isn’t apparently much else going on there.
The currently 17-7 Nuggets have the chance to end the year at 24-10 with conservative estimations. That is assuming they win all the games they should but lose to the Grizzlies, Raptors, and Thunder. The best teams don’t win all the time, with normal losses built-in the Nuggets are looking at a promising 2019 with an infusion of new blood with the return of Harris, Thomas, and Barton.
