The Denver Nuggets have not been on-track lately and have suffered further injury.  The Hawks can give the Nuggets a chance to regroup.

The Denver Nuggets have had a rough go of it lately.  The win streak of seven they were on was dashed by Charlotte and Paul Millsap was hurt.  Losses happen but this one was on the heels of three wins that were too close for comfort.  What they were doing was working enough for a win but there was a noticeable decline in play.  Partially this can be attributed to losing Gary Harris also to injury lately.

So, a hobbled Nuggets team is trekking to Atlanta to take on the Hawks.  This is one of the best opponents the Denver squad could hope for while being so vulnerable.  The last meeting between these teams left the Nuggets victorious by 45.

The Hawks are sitting at 5-20 currently and have lost Taurean Prince to an ankle injury for at least three weeks.  Guard Jeremy Lin has also been dealing with a lower back problem so if he plays it will be limited.

The Denver Nuggets need to shoot better than they did against the Hornets.  More production is just necessary.  Being without Gary Harris and Paul Millsap will mean other guys are going to have to step up.  Juan Hernangomez has nice size for some physical play to make-up for Millsap’s amazing defensive efforts.  The Nuggets have bench players that are capable of stepping in here.  Maybe this would be a good time to see what DeVaughn Akoon-Purcell has got to offer.
