It’s been a while since we’ve checked in on the Colorado Rockies. As a year-ending series, we’re going to take a look at each of the four major professional franchises in the state and try to pick out the most positive stories from the latest season for each.

The Rockies have made no move on LeMahieu as a free agent but did sign former Cubs’ 2BDaniel Murphy. At a quick glance, the move seems odd, Murphy is older and has hit for nearly the exact same average in his career as DJ. Murphy has more than doubled DJ’s home run production. Regardless, the move spells the end of LeMahieu in Rockies purple.
Other free agent decisions loom withAdam OttavinoandGerardo Parrahitting the open market. Fan favoritesCarlos GonzalezandMatt Hollidayare unlikely to return unless Holliday can make a move to first.
