The juggernaut Denver Nuggets crew is hoping to extend their wins from 21 to 22 by topping the up and down Los Angeles Clippers.

The Clippers have been doing pretty well, not as well as the Denver Nuggets and have a record of 18-13, hanging in there in a very competitive Western Conference. They had some struggles while Lou Williams was out but he is back and making up for lost time. Luc Mbah a Moute will remain out with his knee injury.

The Nugs lost the last two road games after an exhausting five game road stand where they were visibly fatigued.  After the successful home stay they have earned four more wins.  In each win, Nikola Jokic scored a double-double and had an impressive 32 points and 16 rebounds against the Mavs in the last game.

As Jokic leads a talented Nuggets team into first place and beyond with three of five starters injured and not playing has the whole fandom seeing the dark horse candidate for MVP this year.  He’s doing what superstars do, elevating his game to elevate the team and those around him.  It isn’t the best player in the league, it’s the most valuable.  If you aren’t lifting your team are you even valuable bro?

Jamal Murray has also put forth effort that is nothing short of heroic. This youngster is becoming an impeccable closer and getting better all the time.  He has some turnover issues and sometimes has a hard time finding his shot but he is worth all of it and more.  Murray is special and a critical part of this special Nuggets team.

This year we had some high hopes for the Denver Nuggets and really wanted them to make some noise in the post-season. What happened was even better. There is magic in the making of this squad and it’s for real.  This year.  Not maybe in a……..this year. Name a team that is better, if you can, then sit down three of their starters.  Now consider it again, I’ll wait.
