If Jason Verrett is on the board by the time the 31st pick comes up, this I believe is the number one choice for the Broncos at the time. Denver struggled defending the pass last year as they ranked 27th in the league allowing 254.4 yards per game. Like Tuitt, Verrett would make an immediate impact on this defense which was deflated due to injuries last season.

Verrett stands about 5-10, 176, here is more from CBSSports on the versatile corner.

"He has smooth hips to easily turn and adjust, showing the fluid footwork to drive quickly on the ball with very good read/react skills. Verrett’s best traits are his ballhawking ability to bait throws and the timing and confidence to undercut routes, looking like a magnet to the ball. He also has good toughness and strength for the position, routinely throwing his body around and making plays in run support."

Verrett jumped onto the draft board after a solid sophomore season where TCU led the Big 12 in categories such as interceptions. He played a big part in that as he collected 6 picks to go along with 22 pass deflections. Verrett would accumulate 160 total tackles in his three-years at TCU, including 117 solo, 41 pass deflections, and 9 interceptions.

With Chris Harris Jr coming off of an ACL injury and Champ Bailey‘s speed depleting, Verrett would be the obvious choice at 31 for the Denver Broncos.
