The Denver Nuggets and New York Knicks are in talks about swapping point guard Beno Udrih for small forward Jordan Hamilton according to Mark Stein of ESPN’s twitter account.

The talks of Kenneth Faried and Iman Shumpert have quickly cooled off as the Knicks reportedly will take no less than a first-round pick at the least for Shumpert.

The Denver Nuggets are in desperation mode after losing Ty Lawson and Nate Robinson due to injuries. Ty Lawson will be expected to be back into the lineup soon after suffering a fractured rib while Robinson will be out for the rest of the season due to an ACL tear.

If the trade does in fact go down, Denver will be getting a veteran point guard in Beno Udrih who is averaging 5.6 points per game, 3.5 assists, and 1.8 rebounds. Udrih is on the final year of a one-year deal with the Knicks worth $1.3 million. The Knicks would be getting Jordan Hamilton who has played sparingly throughout the season in Brian Shaw‘s offense, averaging 6.8 points per game, 3.4 rebounds while shooting 39.0% from the field.

Hamilton is also on the final year of his deal with the Nuggets where he is making around $1.2 million. Their salaries almost match-up and provide depth for each team heading into the second half of the season.
