The Broncos probably want their change of pace or third down guy to have softer hands and more overall versatility, but Bush at least can be a very serviceable backup. Thanks to great size and power, Bush is the ideal short-yardage back and can also help out near the goal-line. He’s be a much better change of pace option in these situations, although Denver would be losing a lot in terms of playmaking and catching the ball out of the backfield.
