MENTAL MISTAKES KILLED THE BRONCOS

The Denver Broncos had a few chances late in Sunday’s game against the Oakland Raiders to give themselves a lead. Two dropped passes by Demaryius Thomas, one that would have given the Broncos a touchdown and another that would have given Denver a key first down late in the game, killed any chance that the team in mounting a comeback to secure a victory.

Tight end Vernon Davis also recorded a crucial drop with 3:45 left in the fourth quarter. A perfect pass from Brock Osweiler went through Davis’s hands on fourth down, giving the Raiders the ball back. These mental mistakes are unacceptable for a team with greater playoff aspirations.
