PEYTON MANNING DOESN’T HAVE TO PLAY GREAT, JUST SMART

Because Sunday’s AFC Title Game is more than just a playoff game, the focus will almost certainly fall on Peyton Manning. Last week against the Steelers, Manning wasn’t great, throwing for 222 yards and no TD’s. The truth is no matter the magnitude of the game, or the build up of having two of the greatest QB’s of all-time play against one another, Manning doesn’t have to play great. He only has to play smart.

Though Peyton Manning did not throw for any touchdowns last week, he did not throw any interceptions. This is key for the quarterback that threw the second most interceptions in the league this past regular season. No one is expecting for Peyton Manning to become vintage Colts Manning (which would be great), but if he can not turn the ball over, the Denver Broncos have a great shot to get to the Super Bowl.
