Nolan Arenado is a Lock for the Clean Up Spot

With Carlos Gonzalez the likely suitor for the number three spot in the Colorado Rockies’ batting order, Nolan Arenado is a lock to hit clean up in 2016. Nolan Arenado is the best two-way third baseman in baseball, and he could be the best third baseman in baseball moving forward. Arenado splashed on the scene in 2016 for the Colorado Rockies.

Nolan Arenado posted a career-year in 2016 for the Colorado Rockies, and he is one of the best players under the age of 25. In 2015, Nolan Arenado earned an All-Star selection, representing the Colorado Rockies along with Troy Tulowitzki. After two somewhat mediocre seasons in the offensive department, Nolan Arenado exploded to lead the National League in home runs and RBI, with 42 and 130, respectively.

By having a huge offensive output in 2015, we can expect more of the same in 2015. For those that believe Nolan Arenado is a product of the Colorado Rockies’ hitter-friendly environment, he actually hit more home runs on the road than at home, displaying his raw power. While 42 home runs will be hard to replicate, Nolan Arenado should fuel the Colorado Rockies with no less than 35 big flies next season.
