LAST SEASON: 11-5 (first in NFC North)

COACH: Mike Zimmer (third season with the team)

A strong defense. A dominating run game lead by Adrian Peterson. And now it looks like the Vikings are ready to give quarterback Teddy Bridgewater more chances to actually pass the ball down the field.

Burke’s take: “In two seasons at the helm, Zimmer has molded the roster in his image and produced a team capable of rivaling the New Englands and Cincinnatis of the world when it comes to making the playoffs on a consistent basis.”

BOTTOM LINE: The Vikings are legit.

Next: Number 6 - Carolina Panthers
